The Lower Keys has a more typical municipal golf course. The Key West Golf Course is a public course on Stock Island, just across the bridge from Key West.

Located in the heart of Key West, Florida the Key West Golf Club is the only Caribbean golf course in the United States.

Popularly known as the "Golden Bear", Jack Nicklaus is regarded as one of the greatest golfers of all time.
